Mountain Chorus Frog Project

Participants will receive training on Virginia's frog diversity, as well as common survey methods for inventorying frog diversity.  Participants will then engage in the identification of potential Mountain Chorus Frog habitat and the subsequent monitoring of that habitat throughout the breeding season (locally February through May).  Frog monitoring will use auditory surveys, with participants submitting digital files of sound recordings as verification of the species' presence.  To hear the Mountain Chorus Frog call, click this link to a YouTube video.
